Writing Slate. Black and wood. Tin; wood and cork. The writing surface is black painted tin in a mortise and tenon frame. The corners are held together with cork inserts. There are also cork inserts in the center of each side. These raised inserts act as a nonskid mechanism. Identified as a patent model.
