A wonderful antique boxed newel post with raised floral detailing, circa 1900. This box newel features a stout body with a stepped top and a rounded cap. The body's recessed panels feature raised flower and fern detailing. This box newel post is in very good antique condition with the expected wear, as shown, and is stained a beautiful brown. The newel is 50- 3/4†tall and 10-1/8†wide.
