Stunning antique two-piece fireplace cover and surround with the original copper flashed finish, circa 1890’s. The cast iron surround features a crenellated border with a hood protruding over the original summer cover below; the insert features a three part design with stylized geometric details. This set is in very good antique condition and still retains most of its Japanned finish. The overall height, including the surround, is 30-1/4â€, and the overall width is 24-1/2â€. The insert (without the surround) is 16-3/16†wide by 24-1/2†tall.
