Impressive Victorian carved mahogany bookcase imported from England and dating back to the late 1800's.

The top hutch has double glass doors which open to reveal 3 thick wooden adjustable shelves. On top you will find an elegantly shaped cornice with wooden button detail and hand carved rosettes to the front.

All of this is mounted on top of a cupboard with carved flower detail on the double doors which open to reveal a spacious storage area with one shelf. This is topped by a single drawer and flanked by 2 beautifully shaped and scrolled columns with more hand carved rosettes.

This is a grand, tall piece of antique furniture which would also make a great china cabinet or display case. The old wavy glass is in great shape for it's age and over all it is in solid sturdy condition. The hutch does come off making it easier to move and ship.

As you will see in the pictures this piece is not perfect. There is a button missing from one side of the cornice and there has been some movement in the wood on one side of the cupboard causing some splitting. There is some character building wear and repair here and there which I have tried to show as much as possible in the pictures and as you can see this is still a fabulous piece of Victorian furniture.
