Exceedingly rare early Meiji Period c.1870 lacquered zen buddhist temple altar inner chamber mirror. The lacquered stand is original with carved buddhist clouds in gold gilt and the base in vermillion lacquer. The mirror itself is new and has been added. Minor lacquer wear but has been worn in and adds patina. Very elegant piece. Wonderful addtion to a vanity. Ask for shipping quote. H:18" x W:11"
