SOLD A spectacular Antique late 18th century Polish cavalry sword “kościuszkówka ". A well made curved single edged blade, cut with a broad full-length fuller, double-edged towards the point, with its original blued steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
This particular “kościuszkówka†sword is almost alike to its model, an actual sword which belonged to Tadeusz Kosciuszko, from which this type of sword took its name.
This type of hilt is known as the “koÅ›ciuszkówkaâ€, made in many varieties, but this particular one is the closest to its prototype, an actual sword of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, from which its name was adopted. The drawing of the Tadeusz Kosciuszko sword, which is in the collection of the Czartoryski Museum in Poland, is in the listing.
