SOLD A rare extremely well made antique 18th-19th century Filipino Muslim Moro Islamic armour. Composed of 68 rectangular thick kabau horn plates, each bordered with incised lines, linked together by solid butted brass rings, brass chain mail with collar and short sleeves, open down the front, main breastplates with applied embossed silver decorative panels, in floral shapes, and decorative studs, held together by two pivoting pierced and engraved locking catches.

CONDITION: Three horn plates damaged, one of the silver studs is missing, the end of one of the floral silver panel scrolls is broken off.
