S. Kirk and Son repousse decorated hot water pot in coin silver. Early 11oz. silver hallmark on base indicates a .916 silver standard. Circa 1868-1890. This pitcher is finished all over with crisp repousse decoration of roses in foliage. The angular handle has a ram's head motif and bone insulators. The shallow dome, hinged cover is surmounted with a floral finial. Size: 6.75 inches ht. x 6.25 inches across handle x 3 1/8 inches in diameter. Condition is very good, with a well executed repair at the lower handle joint, and only noticeable upon close inspection with magnification.
