This is a magnificent antique Gothic Revival lantern, dating from the early 1900’s. Made of iron and bronze, the chandelier begins with a hammered canopy and comes down in a substantial chain to a bold quatrefoil finial. The lantern features a dome-shaped, hammered top, followed by a band ornamented with quatrefoil cutouts and red buttons. Four hammered bands run the length of the lantern, curving in at the bottom to a foliate appliqué and a loop finial. The lantern has been fitted with white glass. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The lantern measures 32 ½†tall and 11†wide, and the overall length of the chandelier is 67 ½â€.
