This is a handsome antique iron and brass English Tudor five-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier is signed by its maker, S. & E. Company. The chandelier begins with a brass loop finial, below which five iron bands come down to form the chandelier body. Each band is ornamented with a brass shield appliqué. The bands end in a wide ring, which is adorned with five coordinating shields, flanked by fleurs-de-lis. The five chandelier arms, supported by brass fleur-de-lis brackets, end in crenellated bobeches detailed with miniature crests. The bottom of the chandelier is finished in a fleur-de-lis finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20†wide and 19 ½†tall, and the fixture is 38 ½†long overall.
