A fantastic antique boxed newel post with a beveled newel cap, circa early 1900s. This newel is crowned by a stepped finial, with the upper section featuring carved foliate panels. Recessed panels accent the middle portion, while the lowest section features a solid box shape. This box newel post has the expected wear as pictured. The newel is 8-1/4" wide by 73-1/4†tall.
