Bird's-Eye-Maple Chest of Drawers, circa 1810-1820, American, Bow Front, Sheraton Style, of Massachusetts or Northern New England origin, Cherry with four richly figured Bird's-eye-maple veneered drawer fronts with mahogany veneer banding, cock beading and original turned wooden knobs, original locks and brass keyhole escutcheons. The rope turned corner columns end in rope turned feet and are topped with ovolo corners. The top has a nicely shaped splash board with volutes. The secondary wood is pine.
