Early-mid 1800's, this is an absolutely beautiful blanket chest, dovetailed, two drawer, original strap hinges. This piece has been in the home of long time North Carolina collector & shop owner Edith Vogel-Gladstone for the last 40+ years. This is a N.C. piece, I believe to be pine.
