A wonderful vintage industrial Woolworth store display rack with eleven original “internestable†shopping baskets, patented in 1957 by Benjamin Gold, patent 2785725 (the patent can be viewed at http://www.freepatentsonline.com/2785725.pdf). The wire shopping basket rack features signs that read “Use basket for easy shopping. Woolworth’s.†The baskets feature fabulous 1950’s patterns – three are a turquoise color with a paisley variation pattern, and the others are red with a great mid-century diamond pattern. Please note that we recommend using these for display or decorative storage only, as the stitching has weakened with age and may not hold up to sustained use. One joint of the rack is also in need of a minor welding repair (pictured). Each basket measures 17†by 10 ½†by 7â€; the rack is 40†tall, 19 ¼†wide, and approx. 13 ½†deep.
