A beautiful antique brass five-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, with original glass shades ornamented with blue flowers. The chandelier begins with a bead-and-reel canopy, coming down in a chain to a beaded volute finial atop a trumpet-shaped section. Below, the pan light has five arms beautifully detailed with volutes and acanthus leaves. Each arm supports a simple shade holder, each with a gorgeous reverse-painted glass shade with a blue and green floral border. Each shade is unique, with subtle variations in the flowers and coloring. The chandelier finishes in a foliate finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; the shades are also in excellent condition with just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20” wide and 15” tall, and the fixture is 33” long overall.
