Biblical pottery saucer type oil lamp with a base and burning marks “Soot†at the nozzle, everted rim and pinched mouth, thick walls.

The thick, clumsy base of this lamps is a feature peculiar to southern Israel in the Iron Age II Period, and represents a new development in the millennium-long tradition of round-based lamps.
