Beautiful antique circa 1880 bronze sculpture of Diana with her bow and quiver walking forward. She is very lifelike and well sculptured typical of works by Moreau during this period. She measures 22 inches to the top of her crescent moon. Widest width from her right finger to her bow is 12 inches. From her left toe to the back of the base measures 7 inches. The base is 7 inches wide. It is inscribed Moreau near her left foot. Weight 26 lbs. The patina is rubbed and shows signs of handling. Overall the condition is very good no issues other than rubbing and patina loss. This is a beautiful classical version of Diana The Huntress created by one of the most prominent French 19th century sculptors. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #72822)
