This is a complete 1982 special reserve gift set of champagne bottle (empty), cork, screen and four enameled floral glasses and box by Perrier Jouet. It was given as a gift to a Los Angeles Doctor in recognition of a job well done and in gratitude by a French family. The set is nestled in it''s original box with a vintage Battenberg linen lace round cloth. The set is in good condition as are all of the glasses. Bruce Fruend Art Glass Vase Item: 10472 C1989 16'' Tall 8'' Wide Blue irridescent vase by California artist Bruce Fruend. I first purchased from this artist in the early 1990''s where I found him at the Contemporary Crafts Fair in Santa Monica. He was also a featured artist in the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival. The vase is in very good condition with only a few bubbles and a rim ding. The colors are a rich sea blue that casts a fuschia matt iridescent overtone. A beautiful decorative accessory worthy of any interior. The vase is artist signed and dated. For Sale I have an Outstanding piece of Art Glass Blown in the Art Nouveau Tradition. The Vase is hand Blown from a Pipe and is Decorated with Swimming Turtles. The Vase stands 6 3/8" tall and is 4 3/4" in diameter at the widest point. The Base Glass is Red and is Decorated with a Mottled Yellow Gold Aurene, Favrile crackled surface treatment. This gives the appearance of Real Sand as the veining is just outstanding. The top of the vase has a wonderful rolled top opening. This rolled edge of the opening appears Purple and this was achieved by adding a little Blue to the Red. The Swimming Turtles themselves appear to have been sand blasted or acid etched. This is a quality piece of Art Glass and has the Same Quality level as its Antique predecessors, LCT Tiffany and Steuben. The Vase is Signed on the Bottom corner with the Etched Script Signature mark "Carl Radke '14" along with the round foil label "Phoenix Studios Carl Radke" on the bottom center. The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no excuses to be made here. This Vase is of Contemporary make and it is "Investment Quality". Those of you who collect Art Glass know that examples that are blown with the Red as a Base Glass tend to bring substantially more money than any other color. This is quite evident with the Tiffany and Steuben Red pieces. In order to achieve a good Red, gold dust must be used in the formula. I'm sure the buyer of this will cherish this piece in their Art Glass Collection for many years.   « Less

For sale I have a wonderfully executed Blown Art Glass Vase made by Phoenix Art Glass. The Vase is done in the Art Nouveau Style of Decorated Gold Iridescent. The Vase stands 4 1/4" tall and is 6 1/2" in diameter. This Vase depicts Beautiful Millefiori Flowers intertwining along Vines surrounding an Indian Basket (Snake) Shape. This is set against a Gold Favrile, Aurene Iridescent background. The millifiores are Plentiful and extremely colorful. There is no doubt this vase was blown by a an expert Glass Blower. This vase has the same quality as their predecessors Tiffany and Steuben. The Vase is in excellent condition as there are absolutely no issue to report. It is signed on the bottom in Etched Script "Carl Radke '09" and bears the Phoenix Studios Foil Label. This is a quality piece of American Art glass and I'm sure even the collector of the early manufacturers will not be disappointed with their purchase.   « Less

For sale is a beautiful Art Glass Scarab Paperweight. The Teal/Blue Aurene Iridescent or Luster is just wonderful!! The Scarab is 4 3/8" long, 3 1/8" wide, and is 1 1/2" tall. The Paperweight Displays a Scarab with a very detailed Ribbed back that is separated by a smooth shell behind the head. You can see beautiful Purple/Blue iridescent along with some Strong hues of Gold. The Scarab has a metallic look, yet it is glass. The base color of the Glass is a beautiful Teal/Blue. Tiffany Studio's produced smaller versions to decorate their large Floral Leaded Glass Shades. Tiffany also used a version similar to this in some of his Table Lamps and Shades. Instead of being a solid piece of glass the inside was hollow as to allow for a socket to house a bulb to illuminate it. True Glass was first developed by the ancient Egyptians to imitate the semi-precious stones used extensively in their artwork. It was often cast in shapes such as the Scarab for use as Amulets and Good Luck Charms. The Egyptians associated the Scarab Beetle with the creator god Khepri, the symbol of Birth and Eternal Life. This Art Glass Scarab is an example of the original Egyptian Scarabs. The piece has minimal wear to the bottom and is considered Excellent to Mint condition. The paper weight has no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is signed with an illegible signature. This Scarab is of contemporary make. This is a must buy for anyone who collects Scarabs or Paper Weights. The paper weight weighs about 1 1/2 pounds and I am sure should if a gust of wind came along you will not loose your paper work.
